The joke that turned into a product ‘FlickrBlockrs: Say NO To Online Photos’ is a joint project between Jona Bechtolt (Yacht) and Veneer magazine. Retailing online for just $9.99 (USD) they are they cheapest and easiest way to protect your anonymity and (sometimes) your dignity on the internet. But do they really work?!

The answer is YES! We tested out our own pair at the last night of the Public Office. The proof is in the posing so purchase yours today and click on the image below to check out the pics. While you at it you may as well listen to Yacht’s remix of ‘Do The Whirlwind’ by Architecture In Helsinki

Bernadette Corporation is a group of artists with changing members that question what an artist is today. ‘Get Rid Yourself’ - the title of a film they released in 2002 - is about the notion of identity refusal and over the past 10 years this idea has manifested itself in not only their outcomes but also the outcomes of other groups, such as close friends and associates, Claire Fontaine.

BC has existed as a DIY haute couture fashion label; a fashion art and text magazine called Made In USA (named after what they claim as the worst Godard film); a fictional character, novel and gallery named Reena Spaulings.

Their peers Claire Fontaine, are Ready Made artists, who belong to an anonymous art collective, who took their name from a popular famous French stationary label. Their work often comments on the idea of political dissidence via human strike, the “crisis of singularity”, and devising ways of sharing these intellectual and private properties.

TIME is a interactive project by creative company JOHNSON BANKS. Broadly devoted to the theme of time they accept submissions from anyone and then put it up if they like it. While we’re on the subject, also try and make some time to trawl the rest of their site.

In ThreeThousand Issue 101 Tait Ischia wrote about ‘We Love Magazines’, the fantastic publication created in association with the magazine symposium Colophon 2007 that was held in Luxembourg in March. If you want some more then Pingmag have recently uploaded an interview with the publications art-director Jeremy Leslie from John Brown and magCulture.com, and Creative Review have also published Jeremy’s top picks from the conference in their latest issue and put the article on their blog as well. So many links, so little time.

save the last dance // public office

- Chris Barton - music, news, poster of the week

We’re sorry about a lot of things. We’re sorry about the title of this post. We’re sorry that we haven’t put any posters up on the Posterwall this week and we’re damn sorry to hear that the Public Office is closing. It was the home of the first ThreeThousand party and has been home to Meccanoid, Witness and countless others. So as the sun sets on the venue where most see the sun rise, shed a tear and your inhibitions for one last night.
