Blood and Tears // Samuel Moffat
Sam Moffat is a talented Melbourne designer who you may have seen featured in the Issue #2 of the Design Papers. Declaring that “blue collar is the new white collar” he has started a small screen-printing studio in Richmond called Blood and Tears. As well as wanting to upload this rotating skull from his homepage, we are also trying to do what friends do by getting the word out there. So, if anyone needs small quantities printed (10-250), or designed for that matter, get in touch with him. The prices and colours are viewable on his website and he may even throw in a free footrub if you mention this post.

We’re sorry about a lot of things. We’re sorry about the title of this post. We’re sorry that we haven’t put any posters up on the Posterwall this week and we’re damn sorry to hear that the Public Office is closing. It was the home of the first ThreeThousand party and has been home to Meccanoid, Witness and countless others. So as the sun sets on the venue where most see the sun rise, shed a tear and your inhibitions for one last night.

Today we are proud to announce the launch of the NowNow Gallery. Uncluttered and easy to use, our online gallery aims to provide a dynamic platform for the work of both local and international artists. Beginning with a group exhibition it features the work of 11 photographers (see list below) and will update monthly, if not fortnightly.
With Serps Press founders and NowNow contributors Thomas Jeppe and Tristan Ceddia harnessing the abundance of photographic talent currently around, we are extremely excited to watch this grow under their curatorship. So please, step off the information super-highway and take some time to look around.
You can access the gallery through the link above or through the www.nownow.com.au homepage

The fashion conscious will be well aware by now that Hedi Slimane has left Dior. Far better than us to tell you why, he has written a touching letter/explanation which is viewable on his website or myspace page. Please excuse the short post but it’s been a long weekend.
