Jeremy Wortsman
Jeremy Wortsman has been known to ride his motorcycle in the bike lane, grew up near Brooklyn but has only ever been egged, and has read every issue of The Believer. Although this may sound comical you can be sure that he takes his work seriously. Following a passion for editorial design and typography in April 2005 he founded Is Not Magazine alongside four friends, and in 2006 he and design partner Stuart Geddes (formerly of Studio Anybody) were awarded the Premiers Design Award for Communication Design. Despite being dissappointed by not receiving a novelty sized cheque both he and Stuart have begun to establish their own studio, Chase and Galley, and are currently working on the new identity for Next Wave Festival. Alongside that, Jeremy’s personal project The Jacky Winter Group will seek to represent young and contemporary Australian illustrators in commercial overseas markets and is set to launch in September of this year.
